In the search to find a balance with food and exercise to suit your lifestyle.

IF weight lose is a goal for you .. Have you, Over the past few months.. even years gained some weight that makes you feel uncomfortable about yourself ?

still exercising 4/5 times a week but not really thinking about the food you are consuming ?

You know.. a glass or 4 of wine over the weekend. Eating out more often or Having extra chocolate after dinner, Some hot chips with a meal that was not really needed or even enjoyed .. you know the list goes on and on….

Maybe you have tried a ‘diet’ and you did lose some weight but thought after a break I could get back on track .. well .. still trying to get back on track… next Monday I’ll start.

Did you start an fitness program

Or join a gym and after a while started coming up with excuses to not continue ( too cold .. too hard .. too busy ..etc )

You hide beneath layer ( thank goodness of winter ) have self hate internal dialogue.. none of my clothes fit Properly any more and I can’t afford to buy new ones.

This is not about a need to be ‘skinny’ , it’s about having a body that You feel comfortable in .. and that’s all that matters .. how You feel in your own skin.

Someone may look at you and say..but you look fine and You do ..but Your not comfortable in your clothes or that feeling of being uncomfortable in your own skin. Again not about being skinny or about that perfect weight , it’s about how you feel about yourself.

You need to make yourself accountable to yourself and your goals…write them down and work out what will Work for you and your life. find your balance.

enjoy exercising but love food and to reach a weight lose goal ( if that is your goal) your main focus will be on food intake. You can not out exercise a ‘bad’ diet. Exercise is not a punishment for what you eat.

This isn’t about chicken, rice and broccoli bro diet .. you don’t need to miss out on your favourite foods.. it’s about moderation.

It’s finding a balance that is a lifestyle change not a quick fix. ( I’ll let you in a secret .. there is no quick fix .. damn it )

There is a lot of talk about how we should embrace our bodies and be happy with the weight we are .. my thoughts are  .. yes and no .. yes because we should embrace ourselves and be grateful for what our bodies can do but if you are feeling uncomfortable why should you be made to feel you are vane or selfish to want to lose weight. Why is it that people think it’s ok to judge you for wanting to be the best version of you FOR YOU.

If you are unhappy now losing weight ( or even gaining weight ) Is not going to suddenly make you happy, but that’s not what this post is about.. it’s about you finding the healthy balance between food and exercises.
